Yedakumeri is in Sakleshpur

Yedakumeri is in Sakleshpur Taluk in the midst of western Ghats in the state of Karnataka, India. There is a railway station here. The place lies on route Mangalore to Bangalore railway line. The train running in between these two cities generally halt at Yedakumeri for technical reasons. Yedakumeri railway station has s become resting place for trekkers who are trekking the western Ghats following the railway tracks.

By Road: You get frequent buses, taxi’s to Sakleshpur from all major nearby cities.
By Rail: The nearest railway station is Sakleshpur (2 km) and Hassan (30 km).
By Air: Mangalore is the nearest domestic Airport, which is 130 km away. You get frequent buses and cabs from/to Chickmagalur too.

Yedakumeri is at a distance of 100 Kms from Mangalore, 30 Kms from Kukke Subramanya, 65 Kms from Hassan & 80 Kms from Chickmagalur. This place is a beautiful place in the Western Ghats & a wonderful trekking destination. A trekking along the abandoned meter gauge railway line between Donigal and Yedakumeri (17 Kms, Takes about 8 Hours) is a unique experience. And is popularly referred to as Yedakumeri Railway Trek or Green Route Trek. This route is nature lovers & photographers paradise.
