Sajige Rotti (Rava Rotti) – Mangalore Dish
Ingredients
1/2 kg Rava
1 onion finely chopped
1 small piece ginger finely chopped
Few curry leaves
1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
1/4 cup grated coconut
3 table spoon sugar
Salt as per taste
1cup oil
Water
Cooking Instructions
Take a vessel and mix together all the ingredients and pour in sufficient water to get a thick consistency. Heat thava (Pan) and spread a little oil on to it . Put in a handful of the batter on the thava and spread it with wet finger tips. You can also sprinkle a little water if required. Cover and let it cook. After a few seconds put some oil and over turn the roti. Remove from the thava when done and serve hot.
